MAP - Measure of Academic Progress
Description: Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) tests present students with engaging, age-appropriate content. As a student responds to questions, the test responds to the student, adjusting up or down in difficulty.
When is it given?: This assessment is given in the fall, winter, and spring.
Subjects tested: The two subjects assessed are reading and math.
How data is used: Results are used to show student growth.

SBA - Smarter Balanced Assessment
Description: Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) are the state's exams for students in grades 3 through 8, and 10 to determine student achievement and growth in English language arts and math.
When is it given?: This assessment is given in the spring.
Subjects tested: The two subjects assessed are English language arts and math.
How data is used: Results are used to determine student achievement and growth.
